Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We have had a great deal going on in the school for the last 2 weeks including quite a bit of sport in various parts of NSW and the ACT.
I would like to thank Ms Christine Hamilton our Aboriginal Education Worker, the Staff of yr 5 and 6 at St Mary’s Mr Mark Birks and Mr Andrew Casey for allowing the students from both schools to participate in reconciliation week activities last Friday here at Hennessy. The theme was “Grounded in Truth.” We were able to strengthen the links between both schools and participate together with loads of games and yummy kangaroo sausages and damper.
I would like to congratulate 2 of our staff members Ms Debbie Livolsi and Mr Dale Prindable, both of whom graduated yesterday with a Certificate IV in Learning Support. Congratulations.
The annual Vinnies sleep out was on last night and was a huge success. Lots of tired and cold teachers and student are at school today!
Have an excellent long weekend.
Good wishes

“WE NEED YOUR HELP”
Could you spare one hour twice or three times a year to help your local catholic church?
The work is not hard or strenuous and training will be provided.
We really need your skills and passion to continue to grow our church community.
We need volunteers in cleaning the church, flower arrangements, music, childrens ministry, cleaning the linen, readers, alter servers, greeters, gardeners, to name a few.
Please have a think about how you can contribute to your church and perhaps make new friends and improve your church.
We understand everyone has busy lives and finding that extra time for volunteering is hard. However just a couple of hours per year can make a huge difference. We are flexible and will work with your availability.
As stated in Matthew 9:37 “Then he said to his disciples – The Harvest is plentiful but the workers are few”.
If you feel you might be able to contribute your time, even for a short period, please give Monique Griffin a call on 0428 488 927. Thank you.
