Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Today we farewelled staff and students on the Cambodian Immersion. I would like to thank all of the parents, staff and students for preparing, fundraising, planning and organising the whole event. It is a huge effort to take students away overseas and Staff are missing time with their families during the school holidays to facilitate the experience for our students.

We have several staffing changes covering staff on various forms of leave in term 3.

I will be taking 5 weeks leave at the start of the term to travel to Florida for a holiday and to work with a colleague in the Orlando state system. I would like to thank The Hennessy Executive Team for holding things together whilst I am away. To facilitate minimal disruption to portfolios Mrs Sharon Hibbert will be acting Principal for week 1 and Mrs Janet Cartwright, former Principal at Sacred Heart Cootamundra will be acting Principal from weeks 2-5. I return to work on the 26th August

 Variety Night

My thanks goes to all in the community for attending variety night- our students were exceptional as were our staff who put the night together.  Thank you to Mr Van for the photographs.

Term 2 Reports:

After reading and signing all student reports I can confirm I am impressed with the work your son or daughter put into semester one. I can see that our 5 quality lessons every day, our new timetable and our lesson cycle are really fulfilling our theme this year of “Learning Dynamically”. There is always room for improvement and I encourage all students to read their comments and develop a plan of action for semester 2.

Have a safe, happy school holiday, and I will see you in week 6.

Good wishes
