Welcome to Week 8. I hope families are keeping warm. This weather is challenging for the students as they spend many breaks indoors if it is raining. This week continues to be a busy week, students have competed in various rugby events and the Year 8 excursion to Collaroy is in its final day today. I am hearing stories of very happy and engaged students. Many thanks to Mrs Nowlan for organising this excursion and to Mr Conor Quinn, Miss Woods, Mr Igoe-Taylor and Mr Croese for giving their time to be on this trip. Excursions are a very valuable way for students to experience new activities and meet new people in different locations and are an important part of the Hennessy experience.

Mrs Fiona Tanner will finish up at the end of term to take on a new career. I would like to take this opportunity to thank and recognise Mrs Tanner for her contributions to Hennessy since she joined our team in 2011. She has been a much-valued member of the front office staff because of her professionalism and supportive nature. Mrs Tanner has been instrumental in the promotion of the College through her marketing expertise and creativity

Mrs Kathryn Willis will increase her hours and Ms Shelby Inwood will also be joining the front office team. 

We are trying to promote a clear  K - 12 pathway from the various regional schools to Hennessy. As part of this collaboration, Hennessy will be hosting the Western Regioni Mary Quinane choir for primary students next Thursday.

I would like to encourage you to consider two upcoming events - The Community Council Movie Night on Thursday, June 23, and the Hennessy Variety Night on June 30.

I will be on Long Service Leave for the remainder of the term. Mrs Sharon Hibbert, supported by Mrs Mary Wright, will be filling in for me in my absence.

Please remember that the last day of term is a Pupil Free Day.
