Yesterday in Round 1 of the Hennessy State of Origin – Year 12 NSW Team dominated the Year 11 QLD Team – Year 12 captain Mackenzie Fliedner won the toss and took the advantage of the field position. Year 11 were slow to take the field, under the leadership of Charly Thompson the Year 11 took the early lead however, they just could not defend against the speed of the Year 12s. At the half way point, it was locked at 8-8 which could have gone either way however, the agility of Aidan Hines could not be stopped allowing Year 12 to take the lead, then another quick try from Chelsea Cleverdon put Year 12 in a comfortable position, Year 11 continued to fight but just were not strong enough Year 12 taking the win with the final score of 20 – 12.
