On the 16th of June, Rice House held their Dine and Donate in which 7 staff and 13 students came together and prepared meals for the less fortunate within our Hospitality room. This time around, we made spaghetti bolognese for a range of charities within the Young region. It was a very entertaining evening for everyone involved with laughs a plenty due to the varying abilities of those cooking the pasta. But, we eventually bounced back and created approx 35 fantastic meals for those in the community while we also shared a meal together. Additionally, we were surprised with scrumptious apple and cinnamon fritters served with ice cream for dessert. 

None of this amazing initiative would have been possible without the efforts and time of Miss Worner and her amazing team of Year 11 helpers who carefully measured out every ingredient for us to use on the evening and volunteered their time to help us make these meals and clean up the big mess we made in the process. 

It was great to see so many people there supporting the cause and really exemplifies our motto for 2020 of “Acting Justly.”
