Year 8 students explored the science behind day and night using torches and small Styrofoam models of Earth. By shining a light on their rotating "Earth," students observed how different areas experience daylight and darkness at different times.

Through this hands-on activity, students deepened their understanding of Earth’s rotation, time zones, and why we experience sunrise and sunset. This practical brought space science to life, helping students connect classroom learning to real-world phenomena!
