Mission & Ministry Report

Yet another exciting fortnight has passed, and another is yet to come! In our mission and ministry space, we welcomed an excellent group of students in the Year 7 class of 2025, also known as the graduating class of 2030. We cannot wait to see you full-time in our school!

On Friday night, I was lucky enough to attend the Graduation Dinner of our Year 12 students. By far, they are one of the most generous, kind, and fun-loving year levels to have graced the College. I wish you all the best and hope you look back at your time at Hennessy with fond memories, just as we do. A huge thankyou to Mrs Mcinerney, Mrs Navori and all who helped make this such a wonderful evening.

Last week, our Year Level Captains organised an excellent SWS (Student Wellbeing Session), where students engaged in study skills, sports, and team-building games. Many thanks to the teachers who kindly donated their time to referee the games.

This week, we kicked off the Year Level Volleyball competition, which saw four great year levels take to the court. Well done to the Year 10s who won over the Year 7s and the Year 11s who clinched the win from the Year 9s after a thrilling third set. They will have another chance to play each other in the finals. A big thank you to Mr. Croese for kindly donating his time to referee and to the Year Level Captains for organising the games!

On Thursday, we welcome 64 Year 5 students from our feeder schools, who will be led by our Year 9 and 10 CSYMA (Catholic Schools Youth Ministry Australia) students. This program is an opt-in leadership and faith formation initiative that encourages young people to share their faith journeys, explore their faith stories, and develop leadership skills. The program has seen fantastic results at Hennessy, with our ever-growing parish youth group and increased involvement in the spiritual life of the school.

Uniform focus this fortnight is ensuring that socks are of the correct colour and without logos.

Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to our school community. Let's continue to inspire and uplift one another!
