The Leader's Lounge
Hi All,
Welcome back to this week’s leadership lounge. This week is written by the new Gallagher house captains for 2024/25 Izabelle and Ed.
I am an enthusiastic and persistent person who will always give a challenge a go. Even though I am hoping to pursue a career in agriculture, I am scared of chickens. I am hoping to get to know each and every student of Gallagher and push you to achieve your absolute best. - Izabelle
I am an encouraging and inclusive person, I will always make sure people are having a good time. After school, I am looking to get an apprenticeship either as a plumber or carpenter. I'm excited for the year ahead bringing Gallagher closer together and getting to know everyone better. - Ed
Together, we aspire to have more inclusion and participation in Gallagher particularly during PC and together as a house. We can’t wait for this coming year and to get to know every one of you.
Gallagher is hosting its own Dine and Donate on Wednesday the 4th of December, where we cook over 50 meals and donate them to the less fortunate around the Hilltops community. We hope to see many of you there.
Congratulations to Zabir for organising the lunchtime volleyball competition between year groups, which took place this week and will continue next week. Will year 12 be able to take out yet another lunchtime challenge?
The cherry festival is approaching fast with the theme “cherries and harvest”. Hennessy will be combining with St Mary’s for the float with students invited to dress up as ‘pollinators’ as Mrs Wright hopes to win the Cherry festival float for a 3rd time in a row.
We would like to congratulate the Class of 2024 on their momentous graduation dinner on Friday. They should all be proud of their schooling achievements over the last 13 years and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours. Thank you to the students who helped with catering and making drinks and to all the staff members who made this night run smoothly.
Thank you all for reading this week’s leadership lounge,
Izabelle Cartwright and Ed Maloney
