The Leaders Lounge
Welcome back to this week's edition of the Leader's Lounge! This week brought to you by our Year 11 vice captains: Josh, Beau, Nic and Ayon
HCC Olympics
This week at Hennessy we saw the start of our HCC Olympics competition, combining both academic and sporting skills as all Pastoral Care classes within the school battled it out for a place in the all-exclusive gold medal match taking place in week 8. After 4 rounds (2 academic and 2 sporting) the highest scoring PC from each house will be chosen to take part in a four-way final stretching over the Tuesday and Thursday of week 8 fighting it out for the Gold Medal. Good luck to all PC’s and may the best one win!
Hens Cup
Monday also began our extremely prestigious and highly sought-after HENS Cup for 2024. The HENS Cup is an exciting and highly competitive annual competition that all year groups are currently playing out in a battle to see which year level is the best at Netball. This 3-week competition has created a buzz of energy and excitement all throughout the college as each year group continues to battle out and receive the ultimate prize of the HENS Cup. Round 1 on Monday saw 3 extremely exciting games with Year 8 winning 3-0 over Year 7, Year 10 coming back from a 3-goal deficit with 2 mins to go to get the win over Year 9, and Year 11 with a 9-2 thrashing over arch-rivals Year 12. Good luck to all year groups for the rest of the competition and may the best year win!
Father's Day Mass & Breakfast
On Thursday, starting at 8am at St Mary’s Parish, we had our Fathers Day Mass followed by a BBQ Breakfast on the Parish Lawn to celebrate all our fathers, grandfathers, carers, uncles and special men within the community. It was lovely seeing so many there!
