On Tuesday, June 18th, Nagle students and their families came together for a heartwarming event that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of community and generosity. The Nagle Dine & Donate, held after school, saw participants cook and donate 40 meals of delicious pumpkin and chicken risotto for those less fortunate.

The event featured enthusiastic participation from several dedicated students and their families. Among the volunteers were Josh Cameron and his father Paul, Camden Cummins and her mother Donna, Jas and Azaela Sullivan, Zac Long, Annie and Jess Banwell with their mother Melissa, April and Dieter Dickinson with their mother Louise, Ruby Holt with her mother Karina, Madi and Carter James with their mother Cindy, John and Bonny Bromham with their mother Josy with a star appearance from Ms Buchanan, Mrs Nowlan, Ms Coffee and Mrs Wright.

The recipe, provided by Camden Cummins, served as the foundation for the meals. With everyone working together in the school’s kitchen, they prepared the risotto from scratch. The team chopped, stirred, and seasoned their way to creating a nutritious and hearty dish. 

After cooking the meal the families sat down and ate their well made, delicious meals. The remaining meals were carefully packaged and donated to those in need, ensuring that the warmth and care put into the cooking extended beyond the walls of the school.
